Cheating

Yes, I know this is cheating, but I’m going to do it anyway.

“The moral spiritual effect when we fall upon God because there is nobody else to fall upon is that we hope in Him more fully and we hope in the world less. And that’s a good thing. That’s the most important thing in the universe: to hope more in God.” –John Piper

  1. Psalms 31:24: “Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.”

To lose hope is a dangerous thing. There is no hope in the world; there is no hope in things; there is no hope in people; there is only hope in the Lord.

  2. A big mistake I made was that I trusted in myself. I thought that somehow I had something that prevented God from working in my life. I thought I was out there on my own and acted accordingly.

I couldn’t REALLY believe that God’s promises were for me and concluded I was fatally flawed.

I functioned quite well and pretty much no one knew what I really believed deep in my spirit.

God is teaching me about trust. It’s a process but it’s His process and I am content. I am seeking to allow Him into every area of my life and let Him live through me. My way failed and I have come to realize the truth in the words “where else would I go?”

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
